BiG Robots!

Yesterday, Allen and I took advantage of big city life and went to the matinee. Just so you non-Drydenites understand how unique that is for us, there is only 1 theatre in Dryden and it doesn't play newly released movies. There is generally a 2 month delay in getting films there. Not only that, the theatre is horribly outdated. The last update to the system there was in 1986, hence its name, "Cinema '86". The sound system there makes the speakers in your laptop sound impressive. Plus, they never clean the floor (so it seems). Walking into the theatre in Dryden is like walking on the Willy Wonka factory floor. So, a day at a big theatre with the spectacle of a modern sound system and big, cushiony chairs is a nice treat.

We got to see Robots; an animated film by the makers of Ice Age. Plus, we got to see it in an IMAX theatre, so it was HUGE! I've heard a lot of so-so reviews for Robots, but I found it a perfectly enjoyable film. Your kids will probably love it too.
