Watching the Olympics

cdn-womens-hockey2.jpg
Canada won gold today in women's hockey 2nd Olympics in a row- go Canada! The games they played must have been record setting with only 2 goals against Canada in the entire tournament. Canada scored 46 goals over 5 games against their opponents. This is a pretty good olympics for Canada. We have 14 medals so far.

I'm still looking forward to more skiing, snowboarding and men's hockey games. I missed aerials today, so I'll probably watch it on Rogers On Demand tonight. Too bad the Skeleton competition is over, that shit looks like wicked fun. smiley I really wanna try it, but there's only 6 courses in North America to try it on.

I watched about half of the game (it was a "highlights" on CBC, they would skip a few minutes here and there) and what I saw was good hockey =)

the 3rd period Sweden really pushed hard, but just couldn't get a couple of goals to catch up.

Yep, Skeleton looks pretty fun! Anything where one is rushing down a snow or ice covered hill is a blast!

Oooo the Canadian men's hockey team just scraped that win up over the Czechs. Hopefully this win will give them some more steam in upcoming games.

Yep, it was a pretty good game for sure.

I was working from home last week so I was able to watch most of the daytime coverage.

I love the skiing, snowboarding, bob sled, skeleton, hockey, pretty much everything but speed skating and curling, I find both as exciting as watching paint dry. I had the curling on in the background and it was giving my such a headache. "Hurry! HHHAAARRRDDD!!!" At least with speed skating you usually get some poor soul who loses their edge and takes out half the field.

As for trying skeleton, I think if I ever did it, I would be going down the hill Superman style...there's no way I could go that fast lying on my stomach without doing that. smiley
