Here's a photo of a couple of my neices in Thunder Lake last weekend on my trip up north. I hadn't had a chance to post any photos yet...

Shortly after taking the picture, me and a bunch more of my family jumped in the lake with them and played in the waves for an hour or so. The waves were about 3 feet and lots of fun.

I'm glad I have a day to do nothing today. I'm pretty tired from being out every night this week after a whirlwind trip up north where I travelled all night. So long as the wind picks up for tomorrow, I'm going kitesurfing! Can't wait... wishing for wind.

Anyway, the announcement seems past due now, because I haven't had a chance to post, and because my family already knows about this, but I have a new job! I now work at Organic which is one of the top Interactive Agencies in north America. They've won multiple awards and were one of the first places to even register a domain name. They have offices in Toronto, Los Angeles, Detroit, San Francisco and New York. My official title is Engagement Manager. You can read all about it on their careers page. They're hiring a lot of people right now, so if you're an internet person, look their way.

I'm flying up North to Thunder Bay tonight and I'll be in Dryden on the Greyhound bus at 3 a.m. I can only stay until Sunday, but at least I get to visit! I hope to see as many of you as possible when I'm up for the weekend.

Uncle Alfred's birthday is tomorrow

and my friend Jason's birthday is Saturday

after that we get a break until the 26th when it's my neice Sarah's birthday.

After our walk, we drove back out onto the highway where traffic was stopped due to a mini-van on fire! It was impressively destroyed. People were all milling about around it, so I don't think anybody was hurt.

The fireworks (as you can see) were impressive, but brief. As they concluded the sky decided to give us all a free shower. Al and I certainly needed it after a day at Canada's Wonderland. The Top Gun made us feel funny.

I was supposed to be celebrating Canada Day up north, but couldn't at the last minute. Rest assured, I'm thinking of all of my friends & family up there and I'll be up as soon as possible!

Well we have 32 degree weather and 30 km/hr. winds today, so I'm heading out windsurfing. Over 'n out.

Yesterday, Allen, Gregg and I spent the day at Wasaga Beach- the longest fresh water beach in the world! It's just an hour and a half outside of Toronto.

It was a perfect day. It was an easy drive, we flew my kiteboarding kite and taught Gregg how to fly it (pictured above), rested in the powdery sand, played in the water for about an hour and a half (we had our snorkel gear on, but visibility was about 5 inches due to the waves), and practiced some beach volleyball. We then headed back to Barrie and had some dinner out on a patio before heading back to the city. These are my favourite kinds of days...

Thanks to my inconsistent sunscreen application, I now have a spotty sunburn here and there on my body. Don't laugh.

Crysis is a new FPS game (under development) by the makers of Far Cry. The amount of interaction with the environment is even better than what I've seen in Oblivion. Take a look at The Crysis web site here which contains a 14 minute demo video from E3.

I'm happy to announce registration of the Toronto arm of the Dead Corpse Society beach volleyball team!

Our team will play Wednesday nights in Ashbridges Bay. It's a co-ed 6's rec team like I had back up north. The league is organized through Not So Pro which is the company I played intermediate beach volleyball with last fall w/Cary Jr.

Linton- do you still have the original logo? Al thinks he has his original t-shirt "somewhere". Did you start a franchise in L.A.?

For those who missed it, Oilers squeezed in a 4-3 victory during overtime- while the Canes were on a power play! The 3 goals that the Hurricanes scored during the game were all during power plays, so when Oilers were down 1, I figured the cup was Carolina's. Now I think it's the Oilers. They have 2 games to win, but they played their best game so far last night and they've got momentum. I loved Pronger's goal in the first 16 seconds! I hope he does that some more.

Brad Pitt or Albert Einstein? Charlize Theron or Roberta Bondar? You decide...

Great point-and-shoot digital camera- I did a lot of reviews and comparisons before buying. If he doesn't end up using it much, I'm gonna regift it to myself.
